Introduction

Tungsten copper alloy is composed of two kinds of many differences in physical and chemical properties and immiscible of tungsten and copper, is a kind of typical powder metallurgy products. Currently, most of tungsten copper alloy materials fabricated by powder mixing, pressing, sintering method of infiltration. With the further application and development of tungsten copper material, tungsten copper material quality and performance also be put forward higher requirements, some new preparations also will be born. Tungsten copper electrolytic process can disperse the powder unifromly and achieve the industrial sintering requirements, whcih is a new kind of process with a broader appilication prospect.

Processing

In the process of electrolyzation, use a certain proportion of NaCl, KCl, Na2WO4 and CuO4 mixed solution and graphite as electrode, the spacing electrode is 3cm, temperature controlled at 780 ℃ -800 ℃. Under 0.5V-1.0V voltage reactants pre-electrolysis 1.5-2.0h voltage and adjusted to 2.5V-3.3V, continuous electrolysis 3h. The electrolysis product was boiled with distilled out, after the addition of an appropriate amount of NaOH solution for soaking, filtering and drying to obtain final product. Finally, use X-ray diffraction analysis, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy to analyze the product phase, morphology and granularity.

Advantages

Copper particles are dispersed more evenly, no agglomeration occurs, smaller than the copper tungsten particles adhere to the larger particles of copper particles and is more tightly wrapped. The average copper tungsten powder particle size up to 0.9μm, sintering meet the industrial requirements totally.
